Using R.NET with RGarch

Sep 5, 2011 at 11:36 PM
Hello,\n\n I am trying to call rgarch functions using REngine (using the latest R.NET version). \n\n The first step is to load the rgarch library:\n\n engine.EagerEvaluate("library(rgarch)");\n\n which fails with a ParseException. The same command "library(rgarch)" executes successfully if I run it in the R console, and loads the rgarch library. Does R.NET not support the "library" command? Or is it not finding the rgarch library for some reason? Any help on this matter would be appreciated. Thanks.

R.NET supports the library command.

You just need to make sure that R_HOME/bin is in your path, then start VS2010:

set PATH=%PATH%;C:\Program Files (x86)\R\R-2.11.1\bin

Now you can start your VS2010 and call:

     engine.EagerEvaluate("library(rgarch)");

It should now work fine.
