R Project and C# .NET Web Application

Feb 25, 2013 at 10:11 PM
Hi Guys:

I need to call R from C# .NET Web application.

OS: Windows 7 (64 bit), Windows Server 2008 R2
Visual Studio 2010 Pro
R: version 2.15.2
R.NET 1.4
also played with NuGet R.NET 1.5

I configured the web application for "Any CPU" (say, 32 bit or 64 bit)

I read for .NET Windows application calling R.

Tried to do that in .Net Web Application, but failed with "DLLNotFoundException" error. I guess it was for "R.dll".

I copied R.dll (64bit and 32 bit) into the 64 bit bin folder and 32 bit bin folder of the .NET web application. Still it does not work, but I don't get "DLLNotFoundException" error.

Any idea?

Had the same problem just now. My project was compiling as 32 bit, and the sample code uses the x64 directory. Just had to make it match for it to work. However, now I'm running into "The procedure entry point _mkl_set_num_threads could not be located in the dynamic link library Rlapack.dll

Ok nevermind... it's one of those exceptions that don't actually do anything bad.
