Trouble adding R.Net assembly in my VB.Net project

Hello -

I am very new to r.net (obviously) but have coded in vb.net for years. I downloaded r.net.dll, opened up visual studio 2008 and attempted to add r.net.dll in my project references. It seems to know under the .NET tab of Add refrence that it is indeed there and that it is version 1.4.0.0, runtime = v4.0.30319 and it has the path correct. But when i say OK and it appears in my list of references it indicates in the path column that the system cannot find the reference specified.  What am I doing wrong? Should the dll be in the same directory as R?

thanks in advance,

Robert

Solved: Trouble Adding R.Net Assembly to my vb.net project

All - in case someone else runs into this - i downloaded r.net.dll version 1.4 which requires .net Framework 4.  I am running visual studio 2008 which only uses framework 3.5 even if you install 4. When i downloaded the legacy r.net.dll using for framework 3.5 everything worked. Simple mistake i suppose.
